Chris Nind

Upon graduation from university in 1977, Chris Nind joined an Ottawa-based earth science company as a field geophysicist, and he has been employed in the earth science industry ever since. He has managed ground and airborne geophysical surveys in countries on every continent except Antarctica.

In 1980, Chris married Margaret, and they now have three grown daughters and one granddaughter. In the mid-1980's the Ninds moved to Denver, returning to Ottawa three years later. In 1990, they moved to Sydney, Australia for four years, then to Mississauga in 1994 and, finally, to Oakville in 2001.

Chris is now the President & CEO of Scintrex Limited, a geophysical equipment design and manufacturing company located in Concord.

Chris is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Oakville Literacy Council. He is a past president of the Volunteer Centre of Peel, and he is a regular patron of the Oakville Public Library.
