Seniors’ Series Spring 2016
Join us on Wednesdays to learn about new topics from our guest speakers and get to know others at these informative and informal sessions! Everyone is welcome, however these sessions are aimed at older adults, aged 55+.
Dates: Wednesdays, April 20th to June 8th, from 10:30am – noon
Location: OPL Central Branch Auditorium. 120 Navy St., Oakville
Cost: Free, no registration required. Drop-in and bring your friends!

April 20 – Moving, Downsizing & Decluttering: Get tips from expert Joan Ulrich of TLC Moving Solutions; whether you’re moving to a smaller living space or just want to de-clutter
April 27 – 3D Printing: Learn all about the emerging technology of 3D Printing and see our printer in action
May 4 – Introduction to Handwriting Analysis (Graphology): Let Edda Manley, Certified Handwriting Analyst lead you through the fascinating world of handwriting analysis
May 11 – Learn How To Make Your Own Outdoor Planter: Demo and lecture provided by a master gardener from the Oakville Horticultural Society
May 18 – Personal Safety at Home & While Travelling: Presented by the Halton Regional Police Service Seniors Liaison Team (SALT)
May 25 – It’s Not Right: Recognizing & dealing with elder abuse
June 1 – Genealogy Resources at OPL: Learn about OPL’s many resources for researching your family history, presented by Elise Cole, our Local Collections Librarian
June 8 – Lifelong Learning Online with OPL: Let us lead you through all the digital learning resources available free at the library, from learning new languages, getting comfortable with technology, and researching health and wellness topics
