Developing this skill early in life is so important, that’s why Toastmasters International has developed the Youth Leadership Program (YLP).<br />
The Youth Leadership Program’s unique design enables participants to develop their skills and abilities through practical experience.</p>
<p>You will learn to:<br />
• Overcome nervousness when speaking in front of an audience<br />
• Organize and present ideas logically and convincingly<br />
• Listen effectively<br />
• Provide effective and constructive feedback to others<br />
• Participate in – and lead – group discussions and meetings<br />
• Build confidence</p>
<p>This program is open to 20 High School participants aged 14-18 yrs of age (grade 9-12)<br />
Each participant will receive individual attention while receiving practical experience<br />
Registration opens Tuesday, February 7, 2012</p>
<p>Free/8 classes &#8211; Program materials are provided<br />
Central Branch Auditorium, 120 Navy St.<br />
The program consists of 8 weeks meeting on the following evenings from 6:30pm – 8:30pm:<br />
March 20, 27, April 3, 17, 24, May 1, 8, 22. You must commit to all 8 meetings.</p>
