All library items have loan periods and some have borrowing limits. Refer to this chart to see which guidelines relate to your material.
Checking Your Account/Renewing items
- Once you have logged in to your library account from the www.opl.ca home page you can place holds on items, cancel unwanted holds, check the status of holds, monitor due dates/ overdue items and request renewals on items already borrowed.
- By downloading the OPL to Go mobile app (available for iPhone and Android devices) you can manage your account anytime, anywhere from a mobile device. Account management options in the OPL to Go app mirror the options available by logging in on our website. In addition to placing holds, checking due dates and requesting renewals, you can easily create 'to-read' lists and rate/review titles you've borrowed.
- You can always call your local branch during open hours and speak with a staff member for assistance in managing your account. We're happy to help!
- You can renew items, place holds and check the status of your borrowed items by calling 905-815-5996 anytime. Our automated telephone system will easily guide you through.
A staff member is always available and happy to assist should you have any questions at all. When you are in the library, you may also use one of our public computers to log in to your library account.
Internet Use At The Library
FREE Internet access is offered at each of our 6 branches. You may use a library computer or bring your own laptop to use our free wireless internet.
Within our Children's areas, our computers are all filtered. In the Adult/Teen areas we offer a mix of filtered and unfiltered computers, the choice is yours. The wireless internet service is filtered.
We ask that you please use the Internet responsibly and remember that the library is a public place. View our full Internet Access & Acceptable Use Policy.
