Learning a new language language? Are you an ESL student? Doing research in a foreign language? Our collection of online databases can help. Log in using your barcode and PIN (usually the last four digits of your phone number), and then select one of these language learning systems:
Mango Languages
Learning a new language? Learning English as a second language? Need a translation? Use Mango
to see and hear a new language and track your individual progress. You learn practical
conversation and simulate the way people learn when immersed in a foreign culture. Each lesson
covers vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture.
Little Pim
Children ages 0-6 love Little Pim, an online language learning system. While aimed at children,
older kids and anyone new to one of the available languages could benefit from this resource.
Listen to stories in one of ten languages, including English.
The TumbleBook Library
Follow along as your favourite children’s book comes to life with graphics and sound in English,
