Welcome To Canada Centres

Located at all libraries in Oakville, these centres have pamphlets and brochures containing information that is useful for newcomers, such as settling in to school to how to fit a child's car seat. This information is available in many languages.

Books, CDs and DVDs

These can be borrowed from the library with a library card. Languages include: Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu.

Library Computers

With a library card, customers have FREE use of library computers. Computers in the library have access to: Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and support many different languages. The computers in the children's section are all filtered for safety reasons although computers in the adult section offer a mix of filtered and unfiltered computers.
