Programs at Oakville Public Library have gone virtual! We want to stay connected and stay safe, so we have moved all programs online. Our programs are designed to help create social connections, help learn new skills and for having fun!

Unless otherwise indicated, we will be using Zoom to facilitate our online programming. For instructions on how to use Zoom, please watch this video.

We have instituted strict privacy measures to ensure their safety during virtual sessions, especially for children and youth. Details can be found on all program postings.

Baby Programs

It is never too early to introduce your little one to the library! Our Baby programs are catered to parents and caregivers caring for infants. These programs are designed to provide support and information, while allowing new families to build community connections.

Preschool Programs

OPL is dedicated to the principles of Every Child Ready to Read, an initiative to help parents and caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age five. Our Preschool programs incorporate a variety of activities and techniques, while consistently focusing on talking, singing, reading, writing and play as the foundations of early literacy.

School Age Programs

Supporting and enhancing the school curriculum is a highlight of our School Age programming. We ensure that science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEM/STEAM) concepts are facilitated in a fun and engaging way. Our goal is to inspire a love of learning and a lifelong connection to the library.

Teen Programs

We know youth are pulled in many directions. With priorities like school, sports and friends, it can be hard to fit much else in! Our Teen/youth programs provide opportunities for youth to develop leadership skills, support their education and career paths. An added bonus of these programs is the opportunity to meet and engage with other youth in the community.

Adult Programs

Our Adult programs inspire conversations, celebrate ideas and engages our community. From book clubs to tech sessions, we hope you discover something new at the library and create new connections along the way.

Creation Zone

Making and exploring new ideas is at the core of Creation Zone programming. We will introduce new technology, equipment, and software to engage makers of all ages.
