Bright Shadows

by Ally Cantalini

Hub buzz clatter meet,

Call fuss chatter eat,

Folk gather round, making such a sound.

Masked face, stuck in life's cruel race.

Hurrying here; riddled with vain fear.

Doubtful looks, hidden in dark nooks.

Malcontent, inside so distant.

Empty hole, cannot fill their soul.

binge smoke coffee lie.

scream cut bicker cry.

Day is away, empty chair here to stay.

Darkness fall, encompass all.

Safe in bed, Nothing to be said.

Spark flash flicker beam,

Glint glow twinkle gleam,

Modest lamp, frail against the damp.

Weak alone, but together sewn.

United bright, against dark they light.

Golden tones, dancing on stones.

Learn from light, to unite is might.
