The lights of the fair

flash before my eyes

I hear the sounds of laughter as I pass the

"ball toss" game

The soft yet sticky cotton candy

that he bought me

Fresh popcorn as I run by the "food shack" to get to the Ferris wheel

Blissful

Anxious

and confident all at the same time as I approach the Ferris wheel
